My Everyday Mosquito Disease Protection Checklist
By Anita, Lawyer, single mom of two.
Being a lawyer has taught me one thing very clearly:
You don't wait for problems to happen, you prepare for them.
Being a mother has taught me something even bigger: you prepare not just for yourself, but for the people who depend on you.
As a single mom of two, my day starts early and ends late. Between school lunches, office calls, homework, and bedtime stories, there’s always something that needs attention. And somewhere between all of that, there’s one quiet responsibility that never leaves my mind, keeping my children safe.
Not just from the big things we talk about often, but from the everyday risks we sometimes forget. So over time, I've built my own everyday protection checklist of small habits that help me sleep better at night.
1. No standing water, anywhere
Every night, I do a quick scan of the house and balcony. Plant trays, buckets, bathroom corners, anything that can collect water gets emptied and dried. It's the first line of defense.
2. Evenings are high-risk hours
Most people think mosquitoes come out only at night. That's not true. Early evenings, when kids are studying, playing, or watching TV are peak hours. That's why I turn on my All Out vaporizer every evening without fail.
3. Full sleeves in the evenings
As much as possible, I make sure my kids wear full-sleeved tops and full-length bottoms in the evenings—especially during playtime. It's a small change, but it reduces exposed skin.
4. Mosquito nets on windows and balconies
Fresh air is important, but so is protection. Installing mosquito nets on our windows and balcony doors was one of the best decisions I made. It keeps mosquitoes out without shutting the house completely.
5. Extra care during monsoons
Monsoons are beautiful, but they're also when mosquito risk increases. During these months, I'm extra careful about switching on All Out early and checking the house more frequently.
Being a single parent means a lot of responsibility sits with me. I can't control everything, but I can control the precautions we take at home.
That's why All Out isn't a product I remember occasionally. It's part of my everyday protection checklist. Because when it comes to protecting my kids from Dengue-like diseases, doing little also makes a big difference.
